Ringan Sohala — Pandharpur Wari 2026

A Ringan Sohala is a ceremonial run of the palkhi's lead horse (Ashwa) around the paduka palanquin, in either a standing or circular form. This season's scheduled Ringan events:

15 Jul 2026

Nira river, near Lonand

The holy paduka of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj are ceremonially bathed in the Nira river as part of the Nira Snan ritual, observed every year on 15 July.

16 Jul 2026

Chandobacha Limb (Lonand→Taradgaon leg)

The first standing Ringan (Ubha Ringan) of the season — a ceremonial run of the palkhi's lead horse around the paduka palanquin — takes place at Chandobacha Limb before the palkhi reaches Taradgaon.

20 Jul 2026

Purandawade (Natepute→Malshiras leg)

The circular Ringan (Gol Ringan) at Purandawade, while the palkhi travels from Natepute to Malshiras, is one of the most photographed and widely attended moments of the entire Wari.

24 Jul 2026

Near Wakhari, before the final approach to Pandharpur

The third and final standing Ringan of the season takes place near Wakhari, close to the paduka, just before the palkhi enters Pandharpur on 24 July.
