Special bus deployment
MSRTC has deployed approximately 5,500 special buses statewide for the 2026 Ashadhi Ekadashi pilgrimage to Pandharpur. The Pune division alone is running 430 special buses (330 from the Pune division plus 100 additional buses drawn from the Amravati and Nagpur divisions).

40-devotee village scheme
Under MSRTC's village bus scheme, if 40 or more warkaris from a single village gather together, MSRTC provides a direct special ST bus straight from that village to Pandharpur — arranged through the local MSRTC depot. This is especially useful for smaller communities without a nearby MSRTC stand.
