Planning a pilgrimage to Pandharpur? The Shri Vitthal Rukmini Temple committee has announced a complete suspension of darshan from September 23 to 25. Take note of these dates. The sacred Vajralep process is about to begin. This chemical coating must be carefully applied to the idols of Shri Vitthal and Rukmini Mata. It takes time.

Millions touch the lord's feet. This traditional Padsparsha Darshan is the heartbeat of our devotion. But decades of this continuous contact causes physical wear on the sacred idols. We must protect them. To preserve their divine forms for future generations, this periodic conservation is absolutely necessary.

Darshan Rules During the Three Days

• Complete Closure: Both Mukh Darshan and Padsparsha Darshan will remain entirely closed from September 23 to September 25.
• Devotee Advisory: Varkaris and visitors are humbly requested to plan their pilgrimage and daily visits keeping these dates in mind to avoid inconvenience.

The Vajralep Process and History

Experts from the Archaeological Survey of India are stepping in. They are working closely with the State Archaeology Department to guide this process. Every detail matters. The temple committee, co-chaired by Gahininath Maharaj Ausekar, made this decision following directives from the Bombay High Court. It is in safe hands.
