ST Mahamandal Deploys 50 Extra Buses on Pandharpur-Aurangabad Route for Ashadhi Wari 2026

Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has put 50 extra buses on the Pandharpur-Aurangabad corridor. The move comes as thousands of Varkaris begin their journey home after Ashadhi Ekadashi 2026.

Route and Departure Details

All 50 buses leave from Pandharpur ST Bus Stand. They stop at Solapur, Osmanabad (Dharashiv), Latur, and Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) along the way. Services run from early morning through late evening. Frequency is adjusted on the ground depending on how crowds build up at the stand.

Ticket Rates

Standard MSRTC fares apply. No premium surcharges are added for Jada Pherya — the extra trips running during Wari. Passengers going to Aurangabad pay the regular ordinary bus rate, which works out to roughly Rs. 350 to Rs. 420 based on the boarding point and sub-route taken. Check the exact amount at the booking counter before you board.

Booking and Passes

Tickets are available at the Pandharpur ST Stand booking window. Online booking through the MSRTC app and the website msrtcets.in is open for reserved seats on select trips. No special Wari passes have been issued for this particular route. MSRTC season pass holders can use their passes as usual, subject to standard eligibility conditions.

From Pune and Mumbai

Varkaris coming from Pune can board at Swargate ST Bus Stand or Shivajinagar Bus Stand toward Pandharpur, then connect onward to Aurangabad. From Mumbai, services from Mumbai Central ST Depot and Dadar ST Stand run directly on the Aurangabad route. Pilgrims heading back from Mumbai should book early. Direct Aurangabad seats tend to fill fast during Wari.

• Carry a valid photo ID for ticket verification at busy stands.
• Arrive at the stand at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
