Shrikant Yadav is officially the new Executive Officer of the Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temples Committee in Pandharpur. A native of Vairag in Barshi taluka and a state ministry section officer, he replaces Deputy Collector Rajendra Shelke. Shelke recently finished his three-year deputation.
Yadav got straight to work after taking office. He immediately began reviewing the temple committee's administrative operations. His vision is clear. He wants a disciplined, transparent system that puts devotees first. When well-wishers arrived to welcome him, he declined formal felicitations and made a humble request.
Call for Meaningful Contributions
Please skip the garlands and bouquets. Instead, Yadav asked visitors to donate that money to the temple's Annachhatra (free meal facility) or Goshala (cow shelter). It is a thoughtful decision. This ensures those resources go straight to the Varkari community, directly supporting the devotees of Shri Vitthal and Rukmini Mata.
Thousands of devotees are currently visiting Pandharpur. They arrive every day for darshan, Abhishek, and temple poojas. The administration has a clear focus. They are working to provide peaceful and organized facilities for every pilgrim reaching the sacred town.
