Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj Palkhi Procession Starts From Trimbakeshwar

The Ashadhi Wari is underway. Today, the Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj Palkhi procession officially started its journey from Trimbakeshwar. Thousands of devoted वारकरी have filled the temple town. They are marching towards Pandharpur amidst a loud विठ्ठलनामाचा गजर.

Departure from Trimbakeshwar

The traditional puja finished early at the Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj Samadhi Mandir. Then, the foot journey began. The silver palanquin carrying the padukas is on the move. Devotees from Nashik, Dhule, and Jalgaon districts have joined the procession to seek blessings from माऊली.

Route Details and First Halt

The Palkhi will cross Nashik district before entering Ahmednagar. The first mukkam for the Dindi is scheduled within Trimbakeshwar taluka itself. This allows groups to organize before the long stretches. Also, authorities have arranged water tankers and mobile toilets along the initial route.

Expect some rain. Pilgrims should prepare for intermittent showers along the Nashik-Pune highway over the coming days. Traffic police implemented minor diversions around Trimbakeshwar town.
