Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi departs from Alandi. It is heading straight for Pandharpur. Overnight halts are at Pune, Saswad, Jejuri, and Valhe. The route then covers Lonand, Phaltan, Natepute, Malshiras, Velapur, and Wakhari. Our वारकरी rest here each night. Come morning, they walk again. Every Dindi has a strict schedule to maintain order. Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Route

The Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi starts its journey from Dehu. It takes overnight breaks at Akurdi, Pune, Loni Kalbhor, Yawat, and Varvand. Next are Baramati, Sansar, Anthurne, Nimgaon Ketki, Indapur, Akluj, and Wakhari. Here, both Palkhis meet. Praising माऊली, everyone completes the final walk into Pandharpur for Ashadhi Ekadashi.

Facilities on the Route

Authorities have medical camps, mobile toilets, and drinking water at every major halt. Emergency response teams are right alongside the main Palkhi. Always. The वारकरी travelling with their Dindis must stick to the scheduled route. And they must cooperate with volunteers.

Traffic and Diversions

Officials expect massive crowds. So, they have specific road diversions along the Alandi-Pandharpur and Dehu-Pandharpur routes. All heavy vehicles are diverted away from the main walking paths. There are no exceptions. Participants and local drivers must cooperate with traffic police during road closures at Pune and Baramati.
