Palkhi Processions: Traffic Curbs on Pune-Pandharpur and Baramati Routes Till July 15

The Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi are moving towards Pandharpur for Ashadhi Ekadashi. Pune rural police are busy. Officials expect extensive traffic regulations to remain in place. These curbs hit the Pune-Pandharpur and Baramati routes until July 15. The goal is simple. Traffic Diversions and Road Closures

• Pune to Pandharpur: Heavy vehicles and regular traffic moving from Pune to Pandharpur are diverted via the Indapur-Akluj route. The direct road through Saswad and Jejuri is closed during the Palkhi movement in those respective areas.
• Baramati Route: Traffic towards Baramati is being rerouted through Shirval and Nira. Vehicles will not be permitted on the main Baramati road while the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi halts at Baramati.
• Phaltan Section: When the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi enters the Phaltan region, vehicles will be diverted through Lonand-Khandala.
