MSRTC is running extra ST buses from Pune's Swargate stand. These special trips are known as Jada Pherya. They are a lifeline for Varkaris traveling towards Saswad to join the Palkhi procession.

Buses are departing Swargate every 15 to 20 minutes this morning. Crowds are massive. Officials expect wait times of 45 minutes to 1 hour for Saswad-bound buses. This happens because of the heavy influx of devotees. Varkaris are advised to wait in the designated queue areas.

Ticket Rates and Departures

• Ticket Fare: The standard ticket rate from Swargate to Saswad is approximately ₹45 to ₹55 for ordinary buses.
• Special Passes: MSRTC offers discounted travel for senior citizens (Amrit Mahotsav scheme provides free travel for those above 75, and 50% concession for those above 65). Varkaris traveling in registered Dindis can also inquire at the depot for group travel concessions.
• Departure Points: In Pune, buses for the Pandharpur Wari routes operate primarily from Swargate, Shivajinagar, and Pune Station stands. For those traveling from Mumbai, extra buses are scheduled from Dadar, Kurla (Nehrunagar), and Borivali stands directly to Pandharpur and major Wari transit points like Saswad and Jejuri.
