Palkhi Departs Jejuri for Valhe

The Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi is moving again. It just left Jejuri. The Dindi is now walking toward Valhe, the next planned mukkam on the Pandharpur marg. Officials expect the Varkaris to finish this 15-kilometer walk by late afternoon, moving to the constant sound of विठ्ठलनामाचा गजर.

Light showers are hitting the Jejuri-Valhe stretch today. It is a welcome relief. Thick clouds have broken the heat, making the walk much easier. Maulis should keep their rain gear close by. Forecasters say this intermittent rain will likely continue through the rest of the afternoon.

Traffic and Route Diversions

The main Jejuri-Valhe road is closed. Authorities shut it to keep the Palkhi and Varkaris safe. Private vehicles and buses are taking alternate routes. Solapur Police are flying drones to watch the crowds and maintain order here. Also, emergency medical camps are stationed every few kilometers.
