Pandharpur's Shri Vitthal Rukmini Mandir witnessed something truly beautiful this Gokulashtami. Shri Vitthal wore his traditional gold ornaments. A massive crowd of devotees gathered at the temple, their hearts eager to take darshan of the Lord's divine form.

The traditional ornaments featured a gold turban (Sonyachi Pagdi), Kaustubhamani, large Dandapethya Jod, and diamond bracelets (Hiryachi Kangan Jod). Also included were a Balaji Nam Ekpadari Kanthi, pearl crest (Motyacha Tura), small Shirpech, Matsya Jod, Bajirao Kanthi, Suryakalyancha Haar, Tulsi garland, and Tode Jod. Temple committee manager Pravinkumar Gham detailed these valuable adornments.

Today marks the sacred Aja Ekadashi. Thousands of Varkaris and devotees have arrived in Pandharpur to celebrate. Many observe the traditional fast (Upvas) as they take the holy darshan of Shri Vitthal and Rukmini Mata.
