Drinking Water and Mobile Toilet Locations at Wakhari Halt

Solapur district officials have finalized essential facilities at Wakhari. This is the last major halt before the Palkhis finally enter Pandharpur. Millions of वारकरी are arriving with the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi and the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi. They are filling the air with विठ्ठलनामाचा गजर. To manage this massive tent city, the administration has deployed hundreds of water tankers. Mobile toilet units are also ready on the ground.

Drinking Water Facilities

Clean drinking water is now available across the Wakhari maidan. Authorities have stationed 150 water tankers at specific zones. This ensures easy access for every Dindi. You can find the main water supply points right near the ground's primary entrance. They also line the central pathway. This specific road divides the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi encampments.

• Sector A (Near the Highway): 40 water tankers positioned for immediate access upon arrival.
• Sector B (Central Maidan): 60 water tankers distributed evenly among the Dindi tents.
• Sector C (Near the Ringan area): 50 water tankers serving the rear sections of the gathering.

Health officials have a strict warning. All वारकरी must fill their bottles and cans directly from these official tankers. Never drink from open local wells. Avoiding unverified sources is the only way to prevent waterborne diseases.

Mobile Toilet Locations

Maintaining hygiene is a massive challenge at Wakhari. Because of the sheer volume of devotees, it is incredibly tough. Local authorities are ready. They have installed over 3,000 mobile toilets around the halt's perimeter.

• Western Perimeter: 1,200 mobile toilet units for men and women, clearly marked with separate sections.
• Eastern Boundary (Towards Pandharpur Road): 1,000 units located near the state transport bus parking area.
• Southern Edge: 800 units placed near the temporary medical camps.
